Introduction

The Introduction to Infant and Early Mental Health (2021) training is the updated version of IEMH 101: The Basics workshops and webinars. This free training introduces anyone working with infants, young children and their families to the basic concepts of infant and early mental health. The 3-hour webinar focuses on a number of topics that range from brain development, to attachment and relationships, to cultural humility as well as community and informing policy and practice.

Learning Objectives

The overall objective is to enhance your foundational knowledge about infant and early mental health. The knowledge and skills you gain here will ultimately strengthen, in your practice with young children, their families and supporting their mental health, your sense of competency, confidence, and capacity.

Certificate of Completion

Participants will receive a certificate of completion once they have watched a series of pre-recorded webinars

Registration

To create an account and enroll in this training:

1. Open the Learning Portal in Google Chrome, FireFox or Safari

2. Click on 'Register' and follow the steps to create your account

3. When you log in for the first time, click on the 'Catalogue' tab at the top of the page to enroll in the Introduction to Infant and Early Mental Health training
