IMHP and SickKids are now able to provide distance education by connecting remote sites to the Infant Mental Health Rounds and IMHP Workshops taking place at The Hospital for Sick Children via TeleMedicine and the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN).
IMHP uses the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) Webcasting Centre to broadcast and archive IMHP events. No special equipment is required to participate by webcast, just your computer, Internet connection and login details. There are no additional bridging fees for this service. Please contact email@example.com to obtain login information to view live and archived Infant Mental Health Rounds Webcasts.
Participants are able to view the live presentation and submit questions to the session moderator throughout the presentations via email. Please visit the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN ) Webcasting Centre for more information on viewing OTN Webcasts.
All IMHP presentations are password protected. There is no charge to connect to the free Infant Mental Health Rounds presentations by webcast. Past Infant Mental Health Rounds presentations are frequently archived and are available on the OTN site for one year following the live presentation.
Full-day workshop webcasts have applicable registration fees. Webcast fees are per connection. Login passwords may not be shared for the live presentations. Workshop webcasts are also recorded for one full year of access, which may be shared with your agency/ colleagues.
As the largest videoconferencing network in the world, OTN is available in telemedicine studios located at more than 1200 sites across the Province of Ontario. OTN provides two-way videoconferencing access between OTN member sites. Two- way videoconferencing requires access to videoconferencing equipment/ suite, and an IP address or identified OTN site and system number. Videoconferencing provides a secure connection and allows participants to verbally and visually communicate with the host site.
Please visit the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) website for details on becoming an OTN member or to locate your nearest OTN facility.
There is no fee associated for OTN sites to connect to the free Infant Mental Health Rounds, however sites must pay the appropriate registration fee for full day workshop sessions. Participants outside the OTN will incur an hourly bridging fee to connect to OTN events.
The Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) bridge will be used. Agencies outside the OTN will incur addition bridging fees billed directly by the service provider. If you are unable to attend in person but would like your organization to participate via Tele-education, please contact IMHP to express your interest and fax the Tele-education Request to IMHP. Limited connections will be available. Only the primary contact at each site should register.
